![]() ![]() I don’t care whether you like him or disagree with him or not, you have to respect how meticulous he is when it comes to music and expressing himself. “Cause baby don’t want to be lonely.” Harry responds to these lyrics in “To Be So Lonely” by saying “Don’t call me baby again, it’s hard for me to go home and be so lonely.” I don’t know why Harry didn’t just put this lyrical response directly into “She” (like he did with “take me back to the light” in “Golden”) but he did in fact respond identically to a lyric in “sHe” with “To Be So Lonely.” We were SUPPOSED to draw those connections. From “Falling” to “To Be So Lonely” to “She”. Notice above how “She” falls directly behind “To Be So Lonely” on the infamous track-list? That was all PURPOSEFULLY DONE. I also think the lyrics and the title are a direct response to Zayn’s “sHe” from 2016, which we know is one of two songs whose track titles Harry copied identically for Fine Line. *cough, cough* A track-list that held the power to bring two long-lost lovers back in touch within hours of its November 19th release back in 2019. It also falls directly behind “Falling” on the track-list. It is also my belief that it expounds on a narrative found first in “Falling,” seeing as how the lyrics seem to be a continuation of the opening lyrics about Harry fooling around or sleeping with someone else, losing his battle with loneliness and jealousy while on the road. ![]() I hold TBSL in very high esteem and I believe the sentiment behind the lyrics packs a powerful punch. ![]() That is “Adore You” and “To Be So Lonely”. There are two songs on Fine Line that I scream-sing every time without fail. Harry performing To Be So Lonely in Chicago, IL – September 25 (via /3bS4cLrms1- HSD Love On Tour September 26, 2021 ![]()
